Agile Training

Come master the art of agile development! Based on my popular book and co-taught with industry veteran Diana Larsen (chair of the Agile Alliance and co-author of the acclaimed Agile Retrospectives), these instructor-led training courses give you the boost you need to accelerate your adoption and practice of agile development.

The Art of Agile Planning

Next session: Mar 30 & 31, 2009
Holiday Inn Budapest-Budaörs
2040 Budaörs, Agip u .2
Hungary

Note: This course takes place in Hungary. The course will be taught in English.

Learn everything you need to know about agile planning: product envisioning and the role of the product manager; making and meeting commitments; release planning, risk management, and roadmaps; writing stories and identifying minimum marketable features; iteration and Sprint planning, task estimation, and getting work to "done done."

Attend this course if:

  • Your planning meetings take all day (and drive you crazy)
  • Your velocity bounces up and down every iteration or Sprint
  • You're never certain which stories will be done at the end of the iteration or Sprint
  • Your boss is asking you to make release commitments and you don't know how
  • You think "but we're agile" is a lousy excuse for not planning or making commitments
  • You think estimating is the hardest thing your team could do
  • You aren't experiencing any of these problems... and you want to keep it that way!

Price: €795 per student. When combined with "The Art of Agile Delivery," the total price is €1795.

The Art of Agile Delivery

Next session: Apr 1-3, 2009
Holiday Inn Budapest-Budaörs

Hungary

Note: This course takes place in Hungary. The course will be taught in English.

It's not just for programmers! Learn everything you need to know about agile delivery: incrementally exploring requirements; using test-driven development and refactoring; involving customers and writing customer tests; how incremental design and architecture really work; involving testers, conducting exploratory testing, and creating code without bugs; automated builds and continuous integration; delivering software that's "done done" and ready to ship. We use an innovative course structure that ensures plenty of technical depth for programmers without boring everyone else.

Attend this course if:

  • Your stakeholders have strong opinions... and they're all different
  • Testers are overloaded at the end of each iteration or Sprint
  • Your build takes too long or breaks more than once per month
  • You finish stories, find bugs, finish them again, find bugs, finish them again...
  • You have to schedule stories for refactoring and technical infrastructure
  • You wonder how pair programming could possibly be a good idea
  • You aren't experiencing any of these problems... and you want to keep it that way!

Price: €1195 per student. When combined with "The Art of Agile Planning," the total price is €1795.
